EEE PC 900 Pre-Order Product Screen

It took quite a bit of research, but I finally found an authorized retailer that has begun accepting pre-orders for the ASUS Eee PC 900. The official US street date for the anxiously awaited ultra-portable notebook computer is May 12th.

Several bloggers reported over the weekend that authorized retailers would begin accepting pre-orders today, but as of very late PM, EXcaliberPC.com is the first to allow you to add the pre-order item to your shopping cart and complete the transaction.

Two models are available- a 12GB SSD model loaded with windows XP, and a 20GB SSD model running Linux. Both are priced at $549 with free shipping.
